— Mike Anderson recaps Arkansas' win over Ole Miss and previews Tuesday's game at Georgia:

Mike Anderson

-Diving right back into conference game against a Georgia team with the preseason Player of the Year. He's a big impact on their basketball team. It's going to take a tremendous effort to keep them off the boards.

-Their strength is shooting it and going to get misses. Mark Fox has an experienced team. But we have an opportunity to go and do something we haven't done all year.

-I've been happy with Darious Hall, and Adrio Bailey gave us an athletic 4 to go with Daniel Gafford. We also saw C.J. Jones come in and give us some good minutes off the bench. We've got to have a lot of good performances from a lot of people tomorrow.

-Dustin Thomas will play in this upcoming game. On the road you've got to have some toughness, and that's what I'm looking for out of this team.

-Anton and Trey are sore and continuing treatment. We'll see what they can do today and move from there.

-Georgia is long and athletic. They do a good job of packing the paint. Tempo is going to be really important in this game. They want it to be a halfcourt game, and if it gets that way then you may see some similar results.

-Arlando Cook played some important minutes against Ole Miss, and so did Trey. That gave Daniel a chance to get a rest, and that was big.

-When you let the game come to you it goes a lot easier, and that's happening with Jaylen. He's not just consumed with the basketball. He's a known scorer. Anderson credited the balanced scoring effort to better ball movement and people moving within the offense.

-Daniel is on the scouting report and people are throwing 2-3 people at him. He's made the adjustment to conference play. The more he plays the better he gets. If you start the game feeding the big guy that's when he really starts working. As we get more guys out there and he doesn't have to play so many minutes it leaves him with more energy to finish some of those big plays.

-Darious is finally taking some of his practices into the games. What he's done is gotten in the gym and worked. I'd bet he shot 300 free throws after the Florida game in preparation for the Ole Miss game, then he goes 8 for 8 at the line.

-It's going to be a war between Daniel and Yante Maten. Maten knows all the tricks of the trade, so Daniel is probably going to have to lean on some of the older guys in terms of advice. But he'll be thrown into the fire going out there and competing against him.
