Arkansas Game and Fish Commission wildlife officers rescued an injured bald eagle they suspect was hit by a vehicle Monday, the agency said.

According to a post on the commission's Facebook page, the eagle was captured in Monroe County after an extended "foot pursuit."

The bird will be taken to a rehabilitation center until its able to be released back into the wild, the agency wrote.
