Firefighters who responded to a Northwest Arkansas house fire early Monday found one person dead in the debris, the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

The blaze in the 17000 block of Clear Water Road, which is near the Wheeler community northwest of Fayetteville, also left one person injured, a Washington County sheriff's office spokeswoman told the newspaper.

The fire was reportedly put out shortly after 2 a.m.

The newspaper reported that property records show the house belongs to Andrew McClarrinon. Authorities have not yet released the names of the dead and injured.
