LR man wounded while sitting in car

A 41-year-old man was shot while in his car outside a Little Rock home early Monday, police said.

Officers responded around 1:55 a.m. to a call of shots fired in the area of 21st and Pine streets, according to a report from the city's Police Department.

The victim, Louis Miller of Little Rock, was later found receiving treatment at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, authorities said.

Miller's mother said her son was shot while with a cousin inside a Mercedes-Benz S550 outside a home in the 2100 block of South Pine Street.

When the cousin left and Miller started the car, someone in a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe fired shots into the Mercedes-Benz, prompting Miller to lean over the center console to "dodge the fired rounds," police said.

The shooter then traveled east on Charles Bussey Avenue, the report noted.

Miller, whose injuries were not considered life-threatening, drove to his mother's house and she took him to UAMS for treatment.

A relative of Miller's was transported to the 12th Street substation for questioning. His name did not appear in Pulaski County jail records as of Monday afternoon.

Deliverer loses $45, 4 pizzas to robbers

A Little Rock Domino's employee was robbed of cash and four pizzas he was delivering by two people Saturday night, he told police.

The 51-year-old driver said he arrived at a home at 6310 Colonel Glenn Road, the listed address for Alexander Apartments, about 8 p.m., according to the report.

As he got out of his vehicle, one robber forced him against the side and took $45 from his pocket, then kept him pinned while the other individual took the pizzas, the report states.

The two robbers fled on foot, the driver told police.

Police have named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Shooting reported by anxious pair

Two people who were shot at reported the attack two days later because they believed the gunman was "trying to kill them," according to a report from the Little Rock Police Department.

About 1:15 p.m. Friday, officers went to a home in the 2300 block of South Tyler Street to gather information on an earlier shots fired call.

On Sunday, the two people, a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, told police that they were driving north on Fair Park Boulevard about 1:15 p.m. Friday when someone began shooting at the car.

The man said he drove away as the gunman and another individual in a silver or gold Toyota Camry fled west on 29th Street toward the University of Arkansas at Little Rock parking lot.

According to the report, one bullet went through the front windshield and another shattered the driver's-side window. A third went through the passenger's seat and became lodged in the rear passenger door, police noted. One reportedly grazed the woman's left shoulder.

The victims did not seek medical attention but stated that they were afraid and did not want to stay at their home. They believed the individuals were "trying to kill them," they said.

Police did not name the suspects but wrote that they were possibly members of the 31st Street Piru, an ally of the Bloods gang. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
