Central Arkansas Water Board of Commissioners to interview finalists for vacant board spot

The Central Arkansas Water Board of Commissioners will interview finalists to fill a vacant position on the board Wednesday.

The interviews are open to the public. The board will convene at 1:30 p.m. at Central Arkansas Water’s administration building at 221 E. Capitol Ave.

The finalists being interviewed are:

• Stuart Mackey, a principal at Coldwell Banker Commercial Hathaway Group.

• Gregg Patterson, senior communications coordinator at Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation.

• Mark Langston, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Life and Specialty Ventures LLC.

• Jim McKenzie, who was executive director of Metroplan for 28 years and is now retired.

It is anticipated that the water board will meet privately in executive session after the interviews to make a selection.

The appointment — to finish the term of commissioner John Braune, who resigned — will begin with the board’s Feb. 15 meeting and end in June 2020.
