Authorities said they responded to a single-vehicle wreck involving an overturned tractor-trailer spilling fuel on a section of Interstate 40 in Arkansas on Monday night.

West Memphis Fire Department was called about 5:15 p.m and cleared the scene less than three hours later, according to division chief DeWayne Rose.

It was not clear what caused the 18-wheeler hauling paper goods to roll over, Rose said. Arkansas State Police also responded to the wreck.

Only minor injuries were reported, according to a Facebook post from the West Memphis Fire Department.

The wreck closed all lanes of a 1-mile section of I-40 for a little more than five hours Monday night, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
