The death of a woman found Sunday afternoon by her mother inside a Little Rock home is being investigated as a homicide, police said.
Officers were called shortly before 2 p.m. to a residence in the 6900 block of West 34th Street in reference to a dead body, according to a news release from the Little Rock Police Department.
At the home, police spoke with the mother of 34-year-old Katrina Hampton. She said she went to the residence after not hearing from her daughter.

The mother, 55-year-old Helen Hampton, found her daughter dead on the floor inside and called authorities, the release states.
Katrina Hampton’s exact cause of death has not been determined, and her killing is considered suspicious.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner's office, where officials classified the death as a homicide.
No arrests had been made in her killing as of Tuesday morning. An investigation is ongoing.
