Arkansas coach Mike Anderson speaks during a news conference Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2017, in Fayetteville.

-Anderson says Oklahoma State has "some impressive wins," including over Oklahoma and Texas. "This is a big game on our schedule. It pits two of the premier conferences who are playing really good basketball this year against each other."

-Anderson says OSU is a physical team, good defensive team and still doing things it did last year under a different head coach.

-Asked if he likes having a rematch after OSU blew out Arkansas last season, Anderson says "that game is over with. Nothing we can do about that." He said he thinks the matchup is based more on their regional proximity than last season's game.

-"They took us to the woodshed," he said of last season's game.

-Anderson says Macon and "a bunch of guys" didn't play well last year in Stillwater.

-Anderson says he was happy with the defensive stops at Georgia and "hopefully that is something we can take to heart" and carry over into Saturday's game.

-On Barford's 32 minutes at Georgia, Anderson said he didn't want to come out. Also notes the game went 10 minutes longer than usual.

-Anderson says Macon coming off the bench has given the team balance and hints it also has taken some pressure off Macon.

-On Beard, Anderson says he is still sore at times from an ankle injury. "Can you play with pain? That tells you about his heart....He's a warrior and I applaud him for that. He's making plays."

-On Gafford's scoreless game at Georgia, Anderson says it was a learning experience going against a veteran player. "They got physical and pushed him off his spot. We've got to do a better job of getting him in position where he can score."
