A 38-year-old Arkansas woman was killed Saturday morning when the vehicle she was driving veered off Arkansas 25 and struck a ditch and trees, authorities said.
April Geurin was driving south in a 2016 Yukon around 8 a.m. when the car left the highway in Lawrence County, about 1 mile south of Lynn, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
The Yukon reportedly then struck a ditch and several trees. The Strawberry resident died as a result of the crash, authorities said.
Conditions were said to be rainy at the time of the wreck.
Geurin’s death was one of at least 20 on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
