Couple to open cleaning service
Bentonville residents Brian and Marsha Holder are opening a new cleaning service, The Cleaning Authority, early next month. The residential cleaning franchise will provide services from Bella Vista to Fayetteville using supplies that are environmentally friendly, Brian Holder said.
The Holders plan to hire three employees to start and are hoping to expand. Their office is at 322 N. Bloomington, Suite G9 in Lowell. The office is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday; cleaning services will be offered during the same time period.
Brian Holder worked for Kraft Foods for 24 years, and Marsha Holder is a schoolteacher.

Bentonville Chamber hands out awards
The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce handed out awards to people and businesses Thursday during its annual State of the Chamber and Awards Lunch held at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.
Winners are:

Rogers businesses win awards
Main Street Arkansas and Arkansas Downtown Network programs in 11 Arkansas counties -- including Main Street Rogers -- were honored with Main Street Arkansas Awards. The awards recognize work in downtown revitalization. Main Street Arkansas is a program area of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program.
The Best Image/Branding Campaign award went to Woof & Wander in downtown Rogers for its logo and outreach to dog lovers.
The Best Economic Impact Project award went to Ozark Beer Co., located in a historic apple cider vinegar factory in downtown Rogers that attracts some 25,000 visitors each year.
The Outstanding Main Street Merchant award went to Melissa Turpin and Dana Smith of Honeycomb Kitchen Shop in downtown Rogers for their business that sells products from around the world in addition to locally hand-crafted items.
