Gifted and talented

All public school districts in Arkansas must provide a program for gifted and talented students. Students with “high potential in the areas of intelligence, task commitment and creativity” should receive gifted and talented services, according to the Arkansas Department of Education.

BENTONVILLE -- Every sixth-grader in the School District will take an advanced course in science starting this fall, part of the district's attempt to increase academic opportunities for all students.
