Villa del Grumello in Lake Como, Italy, was the setting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, for the marriage of Anna Cooper Menyhart and Alessandro Filippo Maria Borroni. Officiating was Spencer McKinley Brent.

The bride is the daughter of Marie and Carl Menyhart of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of the late Opal and Carl A. Williams of Jacksonville.

Daniela and Giuseppe Borroni of Como are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Pinuccia and the late Carlo Del Signore and the late Gabriella and Vittorio Borroni, all of Milan, Italy.

Vows were exchanged in the villa's greenhouse decorated with ivory candles, blush peonies and mauve roses. Music was by a string quartet, tenor and soprano from the Conservatory of Music in Milan.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown of re-embroidered lace, illusion and silk georgette. The lace bodice had a bateau neckline and the silk georgette skirt with lace cutouts extended from a thin belt at the waist. She carried a cascade of mauve roses, blush peonies, cafe au lait dahlias, pink protea, dusty miller and olive leaves.

Sarah Menyhart Bennings of Little Rock was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Beth Leader, also of Little Rock, and Lauren Cox of Atlanta.

They wore off-the-shoulder dusty rose gowns with sweetheart necklines and carried bouquets of mauve roses, blush peonies, dahlias, scabiosa and elderberry.

Flower girls were Annabelle McCall-Smith of Edinburgh, Scotland, cousin of the bride, and Sveva Andreoli of Milan, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Bryce McCall-Smith of Edinburgh, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Filippo Bastiano Borroni of Los Angeles, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Edward Benjamin Borroni, brother of the groom, and Rakesh Chauhan, both of Atlanta.

A reception at the villa and in the gardens was held after the ceremony. Garlands of English roses, peonies and foliage were draped along the columns of the villa. Vintage glass candle holders with ivory candles lighted walkways, the gardens and lined inside staircases. Music included the bride surprising the groom singing a song she wrote and composed, "I Choose You, Every Day;" and music by a local cover band, Extra.

The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She received a certificate in business management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is head of marketing at Nimble Pharmacy.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in finance from Emory University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Georgia. He is co-founder and chief operating officer of Aucta Technologies.

The couple will make their home in San Francisco after a wedding trip to Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
