Homesteaders

The Bella Vista Homesteaders will meet at 10:30 a.m. July 3 at Concordia of Bella Vista. Susan Keith will present the program on home organization.

Gardeners

The Benton County Master Gardeners will meet at 6 p.m. July 3 at The Lodge in the Bentonville Church of Christ. The program, presented by Dagmar Roeder, will be on growing and cooking with culinary herbs. Social time begins at 5:30 p.m. Guests are welcome.

Radio Club

The Bella Vista Amateur Radio Club will meet at 7 p.m. July 5 at Highland Christian Church. The meeting will include an evaluation of the annual field day public demonstration and emergency communications exercise. A presentation will be given by Chris Hobbs of Siloam Springs on how radio amateurs communicate via orbital satellites.

For anyone interested in acquiring an amateur radio license, the club also administers FCC exams at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. All meetings and exams are held at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista.

BACA

The Northwest Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse will hold their monthly chapter meeting at 1:30 p.m. July 8 in the conference center at Cabela's Retail Store, 2300 Promenade Blvd. in Rogers. All chapter meetings are open to the public, and anyone interested in the organization is invited. All members and supporters must clear an NCIC background check.

Cancer Support

This supportive and educational group is for adult patients, caregivers, families and friends coping with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, MDS or other blood cancers. The group meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9 at Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.

Stop Smoking

If you smoke, have health issues that would improve by stopping, if you have tried and were unsuccessful, you are invited to be a part of the "Stop Now Smoking Cessation" program. This free program will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 9 at Sulphur Springs City Hall, 512 S. Black St. in Sulphur Springs.

Women

The Bella Vista Christian Women's Connection will meet from 9 to 10:30 a.m. July 10 at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 Lancashire Blvd. The featured speaker will be Jean Meacham, commander of the American Legion of Bella Vista, discussing the role and focus of today's Legion.

The guest speaker will be Elaine Vatalaro of Bella Vista. She will deliver a talk titled "The Earth Quaked and I Baked: Or Where Were You 29 Years ago at 5:04 p.m." She will share the experience of her first California earthquake on Oct. 17, 1989.

This brunch is held every second Tuesday of the month, and an all-American breakfast is served for $10. The program is sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries.

Cancer

Viviendo con Cancer (Living with Cancer) is a supportive and educational group for adult Hispanic patients, caregivers, families and friends coping with any type of cancer. All group communication will be in Spanish. The group will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. July 16 at Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.

The Northwest Arkansas Ostomy Support Group will meet for their annual summer potluck meeting at 2 p.m. July 15 at Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale. Bring a dish to share with the group. There will be an educational meeting at 1 p.m.

The Bella Vista/Bentonville Photography Club will meet at 6 p.m. July 17 at the Guaranty Bank in Jane, Mo. The July monthly contest will be "Fireworks." All photographers are welcome.
