A Capitol Fourth - Star-studded event airs Wednesday on AETN

The 38th annual broadcast of A Capitol Fourth airs live from the U.S. Capitol at 7 p.m. Wednesday on AETN. A repeat broadcast follows at 9:30. Actor John Stamos (Fuller House) returns as host of this event celebrating our country's 242nd birthday.

Along with fireworks lighting up the Washington skyline, there will be performances from music legend Jimmy Buffet with the cast of the new Broadway musical Escape to Margaritaville; the Beach Boys; Pentatonix; The Temptations; CeCe Winans; and the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Jack Everly.

Grammy Award-winning soprano Renee Fleming will perform "You'll Never Walk Alone" as a tribute to our men and women in uniform. There will also be a tribute to the Beach Boys, who will be honored with the National Artistic Achievement Award for their extraordinary musical career.

Other participants include the Choral Arts Society of Washington, the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, members of the Armed Forces carrying the state and territorial flags and the Armed Forces color guard.
