Police: Little Rock apartment with 4-year-old inside struck by gunfire in drive-by shooting

A Little Rock apartment was struck multiple times by gunfire in a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon, authorities said, and a 4-year-old boy was inside the residence at the time.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Sanford Drive, which is near Reservoir Park, shortly after 2:15 p.m. According to a report from the city's Police Department, the 32-year-old resident said she and her son were inside the unit when it was struck several times by gunfire.

The victim told authorities that a turquoise sedan with a large spoiler, darkly tinted windows and loud pipes drove away after the shooting.

A 29-year-old resident of a different apartment said she believes she was the intended target of the gunfire, police wrote.

The 24-year-old man she identified as a suspect was not listed on the Pulaski County jail's online inmate roster as of Monday afternoon.
