A number of local students are 2018 graduates of Missouri State University in Springfield. The King's College

Erin Alaniz of Fayetteville is a 2018 graduate of The King's College in New York, with a bachelor's degree in media, culture and the arts.

Samford University

Emily Davis of Springdale is a 2018 magna cum laude graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., with a bachelor of science degree in health sciences.

Davis and Robert Lee of Fayetteville were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Samford, with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

Georgia State University

Sequoia Robins of Fayetteville is a 2018 graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta.

University of Dayton

Scarlett Crabson of Rogers was named to the spring 2018 dean's list at the University of Dayton (Ohio), with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Transylvania University

Alicia Hoke of Rogers was named to winter 2018 dean's list at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky., with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Missouri S&T

William Jess Tolson of Aplena is a 2018 graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

Hayden Dixon, Austin Woody of Cave Springs, Blakely Mayhall of Lowell, Thomas Lammey of Rogers and Josh Gambill of Springdale were named to the spring 2018 honor list at Missouri S&T, with grade-point averages of 3.2 or higher.

Westminster College

Zachary Evers of Centerton, John Moorman of Gravette and Sandra Mondragon of Springdale were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., with grade-point averages of 3.6 or higher.

Georgia Institute of Technology

Andrew Bellocchio of Siloam Springs is a 2018 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, with a doctor of philosophy degree in aerospace engineering.

Maryville College

Kara Tubb of Fayetteville is a 2018 cum laude graduate of Maryville (Tenn.) College, with a bachelor of science degree in biology.

Tubb also was named to the spring 2018 dean's list, with a grade-point average 3.6 or better.

University of Memphis

Three local students are 2018 graduates of the University of Memphis. Karl Kreitlein of Clarksville was awarded a master of science degree in mathematical sciences. Justin Pham of Decatur earned a bachelor's degree in professional studies. Lindsey Hedrick of Rogers received a master of science degree in nutrition.

Cummins Sales Scholarship

Jozey O'Kelley of Springdale, a student at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, received the Cummins Sales and Services scholarship, recognizing children of the company's employees who have outstanding academic records and who are active in volunteer, school and community activities. She is the daughter of Eric O'Kelley.

Crowder College

Several local students of Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., earned National Junior College Athletic Association honors for their academic achievement.

Alyssa Downey, a member of the Crowder softball team, received second team honors with a grade-point average between 3.80 and 3.99; Andrew Howard of Rogers, soccer, third team honors, with a grade-point average of 3.6 to 3.79; Baylor Miles of Van Buren, softball, second team honors, with a grade-point average of between 3.80 and 3.99; Cole Wright of Pea Ridge, baseball, third team honors, with a grade-point average of of 3.6 to 3.79; and Madelyn Massanelli of Rogers, softball, third team honors, with a grade-point average of of 3.6 to 3.79.

Southwestern College

Peyton Timmerman of Ozark is a 2018 graduate of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., with a bachelor of arts.

Rockhurst University

Jillian Myers of Cedarville, Lauren Krissman of Clarksville, Scott Schaeffer of Rogers and Kaylynn Bates and Robert LaMendola, both of Springdale, were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

University of New Haven

Pranitha Ragi of Bentonville is a 2018 graduate of the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn., with a master of science degree in industrial engineering.

Greensboro College

James Short of Rogers is a 2018 graduate of Greensboro (N.C.) College, with a bachelor of science degree in liberal studies.

Wheaton College

Teagan Harris of Bentonville and Charles Nystrom of Rogers were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Wheaton (Ill.) College, with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

College of the Ozarks

Several local students have been named to the spring 2018 honor rolls at the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo.

Robert Jeffries of Rogers was named to the president's list with a grade-point average of 4.0.

Ashlyn Metheny of Fayetteville earned a master's degree in occupational therapy. Scott Schaeffer or Rogers earned a bachelor science degree in business administration. Robert LaMendola of Springdale earned a bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport science, magna cum laude.

University of Arkansas at Monticello

The University of Arkansas at Monticello named several local students to the spring 2018 dean's list.

Students on the chancellor's list earned grade-point averages of 4.0. They included Tori Little of Harrison, William Treat of Lowell, Samantha Ford of Springdale and Jacob Pedersen of West Fork.

Students on the dean's list earned grade-point averages of 3.5 or better. They included Claudia Gochi of Fayetteville and Chasity Little of Harrison.

Minnesota State College Southeast

Grace Thompson of Fayetteville was named to the 2018 spring president's list at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona, Minn., with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Oral Roberts University

Shae Zalenski of Rogers was named to the spring 2018 provost's list at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Drury University

Several local students were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Drury University in Springfield, Mo., with grade-point averages of 3.6 or better. They include Inga Nordgren, Bella Vista; Garrett Grelle and Benjamin Niemeyer, Bentonville; Bentley Mara, Harrison; Stevie Leigh, Paris; Everett Watson, Pea Ridge; Erin Hotchkiss and Savannah McCauley, Rogers; Donna Bickerton and Chelsea Hidalgo, Springdale.

Southwestern College

Peyton Timmerman of Ozark was named to the spring 2018 dean's honor roll at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., and Southwestern College Professional Studies in Wichita, Kan., with a grade-point average 3.7 or higher.

University of Alabama

A number of local students were named to the spring 2018 honor rolls at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Students named to the president's list earned grade-point averages of 4.0. They included Rebecca Gary, Haley Hogue, Madison Miller and Austin Reitnauer, all of Bentonville; Blake Werner of Centerton; Matthew T. Shultz of Fort Smith, Erin O'Brien of Rogers; and Hannah Villines of Springdale.

Students named to the dean's list earned grade-point averages of 3.5 better, including Sydney Bourg, Brooke Bugos, Elizabeth Bury and Ariana Rivera, all of Bentonville; Shelby Bensinger, Mary Michael Knight, both of Fayetteville; Anna Bragg of Fort Smith; Sydney Hicks of Gravette; Lauren Harrell of Lowell; Carson McCullough of Rogers.

University of Kansas

The University of Kansas in Lawrence and Edwards named several local students to its spring 2018 honor roll. They included Stephanie Michel of Bella Vista; Hollyanna Mathews, Claire Meczkowski, Alexandra Pecoraro, Marisa Pecoraro, Trey Ramm, all of Bentonville; Collin Pilkington of Fayetteville; Lauren Frederick of Fort Smith; Sarah Anderson of Lowell; Addison Barczewski, Katie Forbis, Lisa Lauschke, Alex Olsen, Zachary Raphael, Jordan Rodriguez, Anna Siemens, all of Rogers.

Fulbright Award

Stephanie Galen, a student at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award to Bulgaria. Galen will support the teaching of English at the "Atanas Burov" Secondary Vocational School of Economics, Administration and Service as part of a Fulbright English teaching assistantship.

Galen will conduct research, teach English and provide expertise abroad for the 2018-2019 academic year. Recipients of Fulbright awards are selected for academic and professional achievement as well as service and leadership potential.

Mercer University

Ashley Whittle of Springdale and Wesley Wynn of Van Buren are 2018 graduates of Mercer University in Macon, Ga. Whittle earned a bachelor of music degree, and Wynn earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering.

Whittle also was named to the school's spring 2018 honor roll.

Ithaca College

Emily Galbraith of Springdale is a 2018 graduate of Ithaca (N.Y.) College, with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology with cum laude honors.

Rogers State University

Rogers State University in Claremore, Okla., named several local students to its spring 2018 honor rolls.

Students on the president's list earned 4.0 grade-point averages, including Lauren Schuldt of Fayetteville, Erol Banuelos of Rogers and Carlye Bohannan of Springdale.

Students on the dean's list earned grade-point averages of 3.5 or better, including Jacob Forbes of Springdale and Hannah Evans of Siloam Springs.

Wheaton College

Charles Nystrom of Rogers is a 2018 graduate of Wheaton (Ill.) College, with a bachelor of science degree in biology with magna cum laude honors.

John Brown University

Luke Merrick of Springdale, a senior music major at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, earned first place in the Upper College and Independent Studio Men category at the National Association of Teachers of Singing 2018 auditions last month in Las Vegas. Merrick placed first over 140 students in his category, with total earnings of $1,600 in prize money.
