HyperChiller

HyperChiller

What's to love: Advertised as a quick way to make iced coffee without the bother of melting ice, or for these hot summer months, when a variety of drinks taste great cold and undiluted such as white wine and cocktails.

What does it do: The HyperChiller is made of three containers that fit inside of one another -- a plastic outer layer and two food-grade stainless-steel layers inside. After adding water to the area between the plastic and first steel layer and the core container, replace the lid and freeze until needed. Hot liquids can be poured into the lid, which directs the liquid into the middle chamber. Swirl the hot coffee around for one minute to cool it and pour over ice, or if ice is not wanted, leave in the chiller for an additional minute and half for ice-free iced coffee. The HyperChiller can be used for two or three drinks before needing to refreeze. It sells for $29.99. More information is at hyperchiller.com.

ChargeGuardz

ChargeGuardz

What's to love: So simple, but so helpful.

What does it do: ChargeGuardz protects phone charging cords where they tend to fray and break the most -- at the end that inserts into the phone. When a cord is threaded through the guard, it is held securely in place stopping bending and pulling on the cord. When not using the cord, it can be wrapped around the guard preventing tangles. They are available in six colors, fit most Apple and Android devices and sell for $9.99.
