An Arkansas man will appear on an episode of Jeopardy! on Wednesday, officials from the show said.

Harrison resident George Holcomb is self-employed and serves as the secretary on the city’s task force on race relations.

"Watch the beginning of my Jeopardy! saga on Wednesday," Holcomb said Monday on Facebook. "Will I go on and on, or will I be cut down in mid-leap? Check it out July 11."

Holcomb is the first Arkansan to appear on the trivia game show since last month. Little Rock lawyer Andrew King competed in two shows before losing by $1 in an episode that aired June 27.

“Of course it’s the chance of riches that made me want to apply,” Holcomb said. “But people watch Jeopardy! for years and think, ‘I could do better than that.’ So when you get a chance, naturally, you take it. It’s very exciting."

In Little Rock, Jeopardy! airs at 11 a.m. each weekday on KATV.
