A 20-year-old pleaded guilty Tuesday in the 2015 deaths of two central Arkansas residents.

Hunter Drexler of Clinton was only 17 when he and three other teenagers were charged as adults in the shooting deaths of Robert and Patricia Cogdell in Conway.

Drexler, the oldest of the four, is the last to enter a guilty plea. On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of felony abuse of corpse and two counts of aggravated robbery.

The other three co-defendants — Justin Staton, Anastasia Roberts and Connor Atchley — are serving time in prison.

The Cogdells were Staton’s legal guardians and had raised him as a grandson, according to previous reports.

Investigators found that Drexler and one of his co-defendants had begun plotting the deaths of the two 66-year-olds while in juvenile detention. Robert Cogdell was shot six times; his wife suffered seven gunshot wounds.

Drexler was sentenced to 25 years in prison, and at least 70 percent of that term must be served.
