Police: More than $1,000 taken in burglary at Little Rock liquor store

More than $1,000 was stolen in a break-in Sunday morning at a southwest Little Rock liquor store, police said.

Officers responded around 5:10 a.m. to an alarm at Otter Creek Spirits Shoppe, 11701 Interstate 30, according to a report from the city’s Police Department.

Police say they did not find anyone inside the business but did locate a 46-year-old woman “dumpster diving” at a nearby Dollar General discount store. She was not arrested.

A store representative told officers that at least $1,000 had been taken from a safe, adding that he was unsure of the exact amount. Alcohol and cigarettes were also said to have been stolen.

Police found a set of fingerprints from a front door handle.

The store also had security footage, according to authorities. It had not been made available at the time of the report.

No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
