"Hendrix said she voted in favor but had her hand over her mouth so her vote was not heard." Really? That's your excuse even after you put forth the measure? It's REALLY time Hendrix take an exit off the LR BoD. This does bring up an interesting question. In this day and age of technology, LR STILL doesn't have electronic voting at Board meetings?

What a lame excuse by RBear. It wouldn't have mattered if Hendrix's yea vote had counted; eight other directors voted nay. And folks like you would complain about the cost of installing an electronic voting system at City Hall. At least Hendrix decided to fight back with a petition instead of suing; the 7-3 split survived a voting rights lawsuit on basically the same grounds when it was first proposed in the 1990's. (I was involved in the process that created it, but I no longer live in LR.)

RBB wrong and you have no idea of my ideas on this. Personally, I advocate for more transparency and more technology. LR Board is so far behind the rest of the country in transparency it’s pathetic. Regardless, Hendrix and a bunch of other board sitters need to step down and let some new blood serve the city. Hendrix and others are stagnant dinosaurs who think the Board is their retirement home.
