Authorities are investigating after a body was found off of U.S. 67 near the one-mile marker in North Little Rock on Friday evening.
About 5:39 p.m., troopers from Arkansas State Police’s highway patrol and criminal investigation divisions responded to a call of human remains near the highway, state police spokesman Bill Sadler said.
State police were trying to identify the body, which will be sent to the state Crime Laboratory to determine the cause of death.
