Authorities are investigating after a body was found off U.S. 67, near the 1-mile marker in North Little Rock on Friday.
About 5:39 p.m., troopers from the Arkansas State Police's highway patrol and criminal investigation divisions responded to a call regarding human remains found near the highway, state police spokesman Bill Sadler said.
State police officers were trying to identify the body, which will be sent to the state Crime Laboratory to determine the cause of death.
