St. Edward Catholic Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 7, for the marriage of Anna Christine Murphy and Tyler Johnson Renard. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick of Catholic High School for Boys officiated.

Parents of the bride are Susan and Thomas Murphy of West Memphis. She is the granddaughter of Jo Ann and the late Paul Phillips of Southhaven, Miss., and the late Marjorie and Lewis Murphy of Brookland.

The groom is the son of Dana and John Kelley Renard of Little Rock. He is the grandson of Barbara and the late Jim Murski of Little Rock and the late Ann and Larry Renard of Nashville.

Pews were marked with clutches of blush and ivory roses. Music was by pianist Barbara Lusk and vocalist Sydney Garner.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory mermaid-style tulle gown embellished with Alencon lace appliques. The bodice had a V-neckline and low back with thin shoulder straps and the skirt had a wide scalloped hem and chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length tulle veil was secured with a gold and crystal headband. She carried a bouquet of blush and ivory roses, lisianthus, smilax and jasmine.

Emily Murphy of Memphis served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Thorne of Euless, Texas; Kelsey Renard of Little Rock; Jessica Phillips and Alex Phillips, both of Olive Branch, Miss., and cousins of the bride; Savannah Mercer of Fayetteville; and Ashley McKenzie of Arkadelphia. They wore black silk Vera Wang one-shoulder gowns with satin sashes and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Best man was Brendan Hennelly of Fayetteville. Groomsmen were Brendan Oman, Cody Tabler and Devin Bradley, all Fayetteville; Steven Lambou of Covington, La.; Ryan Renard of Little Rock, brother of the groom; and Jacob Wisenbaker, of Syracuse, N.Y. Guests were seated by Patrick Stevens of Fayetteville and Sam Piazza of Little Rock.

A reception at the Clinton Presidential Center was held after the ceremony. Guest tables held candles and arrangements of blush and ivory wedding flowers. The buffet held a tall arrangement of blush and ivory roses and lisianthus.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She is a prekindergarten teacher at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in sports education and management from the university. He is assistant director of football equipment operations for the university.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Fayetteville.
