Woman charged after police crash

An Alexander woman's car and a state trooper's vehicle crashed Thursday while the officer pursued her after an attempted traffic stop, according to police reports.

April J. Traffanstedt, 31, was traveling on Collie Drive when a trooper tried to pull her over for careless driving. Instead of stopping, Traffanstedt sped away from the trooper, who "conducted a PIT" maneuver, when a car in pursuit causes the other car to turn sideways and lose control, according to the report.

Both cars wrecked, the report said.

After officers arrested Traffanstedt, they said she slipped out of her handcuffs, exited the patrol car and fled on foot until officers caught her again. After placing handcuffs on her a second time, officers said they realized she was also intoxicated.

Traffanstedt was arrested on charges of felony fleeing, felony criminal mischief, felony third-degree escape, DWI, driving on a suspended license and careless driving. She was in the the Pulaski County jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond Sunday evening.

Gun pointed, say women; man held

A Little Rock man walked into the apartment of two women Sunday, they told police, then pointed a gun at them, shouted profanities and left.

North Little Rock police officers responded to a disturbance call on John Ashley Drive, where two women told them that Kaleb D. Patterson, 20, had pointed a gun at them while cursing, according to a police report.

The officers located Patterson, who initially ran away but was caught and arrested.

Officers charged Patterson with aggravated assault on a family or household member, two counts of aggravated assault and fleeing. Patterson was in the Pulaski County jail with no bail set as of Sunday evening.

LR man charged with threatening

A Little Rock man threatened several police officers Thursday, police said, and told them, "I will sue you and have your job because I need money."

Donald Blackburn, 59, was too intoxicated to give a thumb print after he was arrested Thursday on Baseline Road on charges of terroristic threatening, failure to submit, public intoxication and attempt to influence a public servant, according to a police report.

Officers said in the report that they tried to get Blackburn to place his cup of alcohol on the ground when they arrived on scene, but that he refused and began threatening them. During transport to the jail, Blackburn reportedly continued to threaten the officers.

Blackburn also had two warrants for failure to appear on his record. As of Sunday evening, Blackburn was in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of a $7,500 bond.
