Body found on central Arkansas road identified as 62-year-old man

TUESDAY UPDATE:

Authorities have identified a body found last week on a road in Saline County as that of a 62-year-old man.

The man, identified Tuesday as Hugh Clifford Law, was found Wednesday on Nickel Bill James Road off Arkansas 5, according to a news release from the Saline County sheriff’s office. Law's last known address was in Little Rock, authorities said.

An abandoned moped was found near Law’s body.

The agency said no foul play is suspected in the 62-year-old’s death. An investigation is ongoing.

WEDNESDAY STORY:

Authorities say they are investigating after a body was found Wednesday afternoon in Saline County.

Deputies with the Saline County sheriff's office said two people were looking at property on Nickel Bill James Road off Arkansas 5 around 2 p.m. when they discovered the body next to an abandoned moped.

The name and age of the victim have not been released.

The sheriff's office has not given any further details about the death.
