Joe Quinn was named executive director for Arkansas Good Roads Foundation. Quinn started his career as an anchor and political reporter at the CBS TV affiliate in Little Rock. He also was director of policy for Gov. Mike Huckabee and most recently worked for 12 years in public affairs at Walmart Inc. Quinn is the principal in Quinn & Associates Consulting LLC and serves on the Bentonville School Board.

Dr. Travis Anschutz, board-certified neonatal-perinatal medicine physician, recently joined the medical staff of Northwest Health, practicing at Willow Creek Women's Hospital in Johnson and Northwest Medical Center -- Bentonville. Anschutz received his medical education at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric medicine residency at University of Tennessee, TC Thompson Children's Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., and his neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at University of Louisville and Kosair Children's Hospitals in Louisville, Ky.

Mariah Biven, a registered nurse in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at Washington Regional Medical center, recently earned the Stroke Certified Registered Nurse credential through the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. Biven, who has been with Washington Regional for two years, graduated from the nursing program at Northwest Arkansas Community College and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing through the University of Texas -- Arlington.

Gary Mars, a truck driver for Walmart Transportation, won first place in the flatbed division and was runner-up grand champion at the Arkansas Trucking Association's 2018 Arkansas Truck Driving Championship. He was among 158 drivers to compete in three categories: pre-trip inspection, written examination and driving skills. Mars has been with Walmart Transportation for 15 years and been a driver for 28 years with more than 3.2 million safe driving miles. Mars placed seven times in the eight times he has competed in the championship since 2009.He was named Arkansas Grand Champion twice and placed seventh in the five axle class at the National Truck Driving Championships in 2014.
