Tell us about your organization: For over 20 years, Community Clinic has served Washington and Benton counties with quality and affordable health care. With 14 clinic sites, we are the largest safety net health care provider in the region. We offer services in English, Spanish and Marshallese, and we accept Medicaid, Medicare and most other forms of insurance. A discount program is available to our patients based on income and household size, and we are dedicated to serving all in need of health care.

Mission: Helping people live healthy lives by providing health care for all in Northwest Arkansas.

Community Vision: Healthy People. Healthy Community.

Services provided: Community Clinic offers primary care -- including preventive and acute care, pediatrics, immunizations, women's health and chronic disease management -- integrated behavioral health, full range dental care and physical therapy.

Service area: Washington and Benton counties.

Average number of people served annually: Community Clinic serves over 36,000 patients each year at 14 locations.

How is your organization's mission unique? Community Clinic provides broad and comprehensive services in a culturally and linguistically competent manner to all in our community, regardless of patients' ability to pay.

Why do you work for a nonprofit organization? I wanted to make a difference in whatever small way that I could in people's lives.

What have you learned on the job that you didn't expect? Although living in a comfortable community, there are so many individuals with chronic conditions that go without health care for lack of funds, insurance and knowledge. There are also many individuals who are homeless.

What challenges face your organization? One of the challenges that we continually rise to meet is adjusting our services to the needs of our population to ensure they receive the best care possible.

What new or expanding programs/services have you had recently? Or are there new things on the horizon? We have an integrated behavioral health program that we began in 2009. Due to the growing need for behavioral health services in our community, we are constantly working to expand the program. We also have a strong school-based health program, including one school-based site in Siloam Springs, the Panther Health & Wellness. Having clinics in schools is a great and convenient way to serve families and children.

Are the party proceeds earmarked for a particular program or initiative? The party proceeds are earmarked for assisting Community Clinic patients in Siloam Springs to access needed specialty services that they otherwise might not be able to afford.

What upcoming fundraisers and/or other events does your organization have planned? On Aug. 17, we will host our 13th annual fundraiser to benefit the patients of Community Clinic. Our Advisory Board always creates a fun and unique experience for our guests. This year our theme is A Gatsby Party. Please join us at the Brick Ballroom in Historic Downtown Siloam Springs. Tickets are available online at ccnwa.org/siloam-springs-fundraiser or by calling Raquel (479) 524-9550 ext. 6357.

We rely on our community's support to ensure that everyone has access to quality and compassionate health care.
