Comedy tour featuring Martin Lawrence as host adds North Little Rock stop

A comedy tour hosted by Martin Lawrence has added a stop at North Little Rock's Verizon Arena, a spokeswoman for the venue said Monday.

The Dec. 7 event is one of 19 additional shows that were added to Lawrence's Lit AF Tour, which began earlier this year and has played in front of sold-out crowds in Los Angeles, New York and Las Vegas, according to a news release.

Lawrence serves as the comedy show's host and presents performers DeRay Davis, Rickey Smiley, Michael Blackson, Jay Pharoah, Deon Cole, Bruce Bruce, Adele Givens, Clayton Thomas and Benji Brown.

Lawrence hosted the comedy series Def Comedy Jam, which premiered on HBO beginning in 1992. He also starred in the self-titled TV series, Martin, as well as comedy blockbusters Bad Boys, Big Momma's House and A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.

Tickets ranging from $39.50 to $119.50 will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They can be purchased on Ticketmaster or at the arena box office.
