Little Rock TV reporter leaving after two years working for NBC, Fox affiliates

A reporter of two years at Little Rock’s NBC and Fox affiliates says she is departing Arkansas and “heading West.”

Charmaine Nero, who joined KARK-TV and KLRT-TV in July 2016, wrote on Twitter that she is moving to Sacramento, Calif., where she will be a multimedia journalist at Fox station KTXL-TV.

“I’ve met amazing people my last two years here in Arkansas. Thank you #Team20 for helping me grow as a person and journalist,” Nero said.

Nero previously worked at ABC affiliate WCBJ-TV in Gainesville, Fla., as a reporter.

When she joined KARK and KLRT, Nero replaced Northwest Arkansas-bound reporter Hilary Hunt. Hunt is returning to Little Rock in September as KARK's weekend anchor after a two-year stint at sister stations KNWA-TV and KFTA-TV.
