Police: Driver killed after car crosses centerline on Arkansas highway, hits SUV

One person was killed, and two were injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle collision on a state highway in northern Arkansas, authorities said.

Randall Castle, 62, of Peel was driving a 1992 Ford Tempo north on Arkansas 125 when the car crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2016 Kia Sorento, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary report.

The crash happened shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Castle suffered fatal injuries.

Troopers said the Kia driver, Andrea Goehl, 58, of Harrison, and a passenger, Linda Bryant, 67, of Parthenon, were hurt in the crash.

Conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the wreck.

At least 271 people have died in traffic crashes on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
