The Rev. Jeff Wright, pastor at Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington, S.C., said the church is removing a hand-carved, 7-foot statue of Jesus from the front entrance because the congregation deemed it too Catholic.

Clifford Eugene Williams, 30, of Oklahoma, was convicted of manufacturing child pornography after hosting parties where people went to drink and take drugs, then leading the guests, some of whom were teenagers, into a bedroom to undress them and take photographs to post online.

Ricardo Soto, 33, was accused of child abuse and evading an officer when he fled to Mexico after his 2-year-old son was critically injured with a skull fracture, resulting in Soto's arrest in Texas as he returned to the United States.
