Stranger threatened to throw him in river during downtown Little Rock robbery, man tells police

A Texas man told police a stranger threatened to "throw him in the river" during a robbery in Little Rock's River Market District over the weekend.

The 57-year-old from Fort Worth said that the male robbers punched him in the head and stole a $700 laptop and two backpacks containing clothes just before 4 a.m. Saturday near 400 President Clinton Ave.

One assailant put on a shirt belonging to the victim that said "Show me your taco" before the two fled across the Junction Bridge to North Little Rock, according to a police report.

The report described one robber as a black male with braided hair who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and was wearing a blue and white T-shirt. The other was said to be a blond-haired black male wearing a red hat.

No suspects had been named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Authorities said the Texas resident was taken to UAMS Medical Center, where he was treated for a cut to his left ear.
