A 39-year old Arkansas woman was struck by a car and killed while she was walking in a road Wednesday, state police said.
Lakiska Moore was headed north in the inside southbound lane of North Washington Street in Forrest City when she was hit shortly after 8:45 p.m. by a 2008 Chevrolet Impala driving south, a preliminary crash report states.
Authorities said the road was dry and the weather was clear at the time of the wreck.
The Forrest City resident's death is one of at least 194 reported in crashes on Arkansas roads this year, preliminary records show.
