A Delta flight made an emergency landing at Little Rock's Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport on Thursday morning because of a smoky odor reported in the back of the plane, a spokesman for the airline said.
Flight 1941 from Atlanta to Orange County, Calif., landed safely in Arkansas' capital city, where the aircraft taxied to a gate, and customers deplaned normally, according to a statement from Delta.
Spokesman Michael Thomas said the airline sent another plane to continue the flight, which is scheduled to arrive in Orange County at 3:45 p.m.
“Delta apologizes for the inconvenience to our customers after flight 1941 diverted to Little Rock due to a possible maintenance issue," the company said in a statement.
There were 198 passengers and six crew members on board, and no injuries were reported. It was not immediately clear what caused the smoky odor.
