Exxon gas station in Hillcrest robbed

A robber stole cash at a gas station Thursday night in Hillcrest while a pregnant woman was working, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Authorities said they found the 24-year-old employee in shock and struggling to breathe when they arrived at the Exxon at 101 N. Van Buren St. about 9:30 p.m.

The woman told officers she was behind the counter when a stranger entered.

He yelled "all the money in the register" and had his hand under his shirt, which appeared to show the outline of a gun, according to the report.

Police wrote that a second employee, who was taking out the trash, saw the robber through a window and ran back into the building. At that time, the robber ordered the women to give him the cash from the register, the report said.

The robber ran north on Van Buren toward Kavanaugh Boulevard, the 22-year-old worker said.
