Crash hurts 2 kids; North Little Rock dad arrested

A North Little Rock man is accused of grabbing the wheel of a vehicle his wife was driving and causing a wreck that injured his two children Thursday, authorities say.

Kenyatta Howard, 41, began arguing with his wife while he was a passenger in a vehicle she was driving, an arrest report from the Pulaski County sheriff's office shows. Howard grabbed the wheel of the vehicle, causing a crash that injured his two children, police said. He then reportedly left the scene of the wreck with the children, not allowing them to get necessary medical care, according to the report.

Howard is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and one count of second-degree domestic battery, records show. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond at the Pulaski County jail Sunday evening and is scheduled to appear in court July 24.
