Police say they arrested a man Sunday morning after finding more than 35 pounds of marijuana in his SUV outside a west Little Rock eatery.

Dallas Jackson, 30, of Little Rock faces one felony count of possession of drugs, records show.

Shortly before 10:50 a.m., officers responded to a call of people smoking in the parking lot of Wendy’s at 10924 Colonel Glenn Road, according to a report from the city’s Police Department.

Officers observed a bag of “green veggie matter” in the lap of one occupant, later identified as Jackson, seated inside a white Nissan Murano, authorities said.

When asked if he had any additional drugs in the SUV, Jackson reportedly replied that he had “a little more.” In total, police seized 37 pounds of marijuana.

Jackson’s name did not appear in online records for the Pulaski County jail as of Monday afternoon.
