A routine inspection by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the U.S. 79 bridge at Emmett Sanders Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River in Jefferson County will require a lane closing today, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
U.S. 79 will be reduced to one lane of traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic will be controlled with signs, flaggers and traffic drums, the department said.
