People wait for asylum hearings Tuesday outside the U.S. port of entry in Tijuana, Mexico, as U.S. officials considered changes in immigration law.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday threw his support behind two Republican immigration bills in the House that would end a much-criticized administration policy that has separated families caught illegally crossing the U.S. border with Mexico.

As more details come out, Trump finally admits indirectly that he is using the change in policy to extort funding for his wall from Congress. He tried other methods, including Dreamers, but it was only until he was able to use children in a tactic proposed by Steve Miller that he was able to get wall funding. That just shows how deplorable a president he is and how morally bankrupt his supporters are who agree with this tactic.
...
For all the rhetoric and hype by the right, our country has lost its moral compass with this administration. The Two Corinthians president should actually read the Bible to find what Christ says about those who are suffering.

Mexico will not be paying for Trump's Wall! He has repeatedly lied about that and there's fools out there that still thinks he's telling the truth.

Trump needs no law to end the policy shift. It is discretionary and his administration shifted to a hard line to create a crisis to strong arm Congress for border wall funding.

The wall will prevent and discourage families from coming to our border and trying to cross illegally. Way to go Trump! He continues to solve the difficult issues facing our country today.

Over 80 pct are rent a kids. The democrats invented this crisis because of the mid term elections, they care nothing about them or they would have done something when Bill Clinton signed it into law, typical Democrat hypocrisy. Never trust a democrat!!

mkdm says, "Over 80 pct are rent a kids. The democrats invented this crisis because of the mid term elections..." This could be the comment of a Russian troll and is pretty typical of them. It's the same type comment that came during mass shootings denying such a shooting existed.

RBear your comments are the product of a Clinton troll, how much are you paid daily to post your hate?

Jiminy "your comments are the product of a Clinton troll ..." Boy, that was a "thought provoking" comment. If you support mkdm's comment then show me the evidence to prove it is correct. Actually do some research for a change. Your comment on the wall is about as baseless as mkdm's.

Having to take a break from eating popcorn and watching libs meltdown to make a serious observation. The lies and inflammatory rhetoric from the left has placed us in perilous times. Don't be surprised if some radicalized Trump hater turns into another Timothy McVeigh or moron shooting at republicans on a softball field.
.
And what is that insane rhetoric? Peter Fonda is the latest leftist to encourage violence against Trump supporters, ICE agents, and republicans in general. Last night a group of bullies harassed Ms. Nielsen as she tried to enjoy a peaceful dinner meal. Sadly, it's only a matter of time until the attacks become physical.
.
So, what is the FAKE NEWS being spread to incite such violence? Some of the more infamous photos of kids in cages were taken when Obama was POTUS but presented as current; it's been reported this didn't happen under Obama, which it did; it's been reported legal asylum seekers have been separated from their kids, and they have not; it's been said President Trump isn't following the law, which is a total lie.
.
Lies of omission are taking place as well. The media fails to report that most of these kids are unaccompanied, having been separated from their parents weeks/months earlier; there are no reports of the widespread maltreatment of minors on the journey to the US; the media routinely omits the word "illegal" in front of the word "immigrant"; there is no reporting among the mainstream media that many politicians critical of the current policy actually spoke in favor of it previously when the politics was different.
.
I'm still eating popcorn watching libs lose their minds but will stop when their lies and rhetoric incite violent attacks. Then, I will put down the popcorn and pick up my trusted Glock (or Kimber or Colt or whatever is most appropriate for the moment) and be thankful for the 2A.
