McCollum is a 26-year-old Texan who released his debut album, The Limestone Kid, in 2015, and a follow-up, Probably Wrong, in 2017. His sound has been described as a mix of roots rock, folk rock and blues. He has cited as his influences Ryan Adams, Ryan Bingham and Townes Van Zandt.
