Colgate University

Mason Jones of Holiday Island is a 2018 magna cum laude graduate of Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., with a bachelor's degree in English and sociology.

William Jewell College

Brooke Huston of Rogers and Kaley Todd of Fayetteville are 2018 graduates of William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. Huston earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing, and Todd earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science.

John Parmer of Springdale and Kaley Todd of Fayetteville have been named to the spring 2018 dean's list at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., with grade-point averages of 3.7 or higher.

LeTourneau University

Corey Naas of Green Forest is a 2018 graduate of LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, with a bachelor of science degree in computer science and engineering technology.

Abigail Johnson of Barling was named to the spring 2018 president's list at LeTourneau with a grade-point average of 4.0.

Oklahoma Baptist University

Several local students are 2018 graduates of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.

Victoria Vaughan of Rogers earned a degree in anthropology. Lyndsey Kalinowski of Bentonville graduated magna cum laude with a degree in secondary English education. Kolten Speaks of Fort Smith earned an interdisciplinary degree.

West Point

Rebecca Boushelle and Samuel Shaw, both of Fayetteville, have received appointments to the Class of 2022 at the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and will report July 2.

Boushelle is a graduate of Fayetteville High School and the daughter of Mary and Chris Boushelle of Fayetteville. She will run cross country and track for the Army Black Knights.

Shaw recently graduated from Fayetteville High School and is the son of Leslie and George Shaw of Fayetteville.

Iowa State University

Rodolfo Escamilla of Springdale and John William Lavey of Siloam Springs were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Iowa State University in Ames, with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

Oklahoma State University

A number of local students were named to the spring 2018 honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Students with grade-point averages of 4.0 were placed on the president's honor roll, and students with grade-point averages of 3.50 or better were placed on the dean's honor roll.

Springdale High School

Nine students from Springdale High School were recently recognized for their achievements, aspirations and interest in computing and technology by the Information Technology Research Institute at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.

Meghan Bledsoe, Yaritza Chavez, Bine Domnick, Lissette Martinez, Samantha Quintero, Teion Sanders and Indu Sen were named Arkansas affiliate winners. Gabriela Solis and Sarah Vogel received Arkansas affiliate honorable mention awards.

Yaritza Chavez was also named an aspirations in computing national honorable mention winner. The aspirations in computing awards recognize young women in high school who have demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, leadership, high academic achievements and plan for a post-secondary education.

College of the Ozarks

Several local students are 2018 graduates of College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo. They include Vincent Bradley of Siloam Springs, with a bachelor of science in business administration, marketing; Rylee Miller of Siloam Springs graduated, bachelor of arts in Christian ministry; Andrew Ottaviano of Bentonville, bachelor of science in computer science, cum laude; Winston Rasmussen of Springdale, bachelor of arts in accounting; Anna Sharon of Bella Vista, bachelor of arts in communication arts, public relations, magna cum laude; Molly Thomas of Pea Ridge, bachelor of arts in business administration.

Saint Mary's College

Jordan Myers of Fort Smith was named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Saint Mary's College, with a grade-point average of 3.6.

University of Central Arkansas

Neil Riley and Schlesinger Colton, both of Springdale, have been chosen as honors scholars in the Norbert O. Schedler Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway

Acceptance into the honors college includes opportunities for a living-learning community, service learning, undergraduate research, travel abroad and internships

Cornell College

Kenna Ebert of Springdale has been awarded a, trustee scholarship and music scholarship for Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Tufts University

Deborah Greene of Fayetteville is a 2018 cum laude graduate of Tufts University in Medford and Somerville, Mass., with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Harding University College

Emily Richardson of Ozark and Jessica Gall of Bella Vista were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at the Harding University college of pharmacy in Searcy, with grade-point averages of 3.80 or better.

Baylor University

A number of local students are 2018 graduates of Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Benjamin Heil of Fayetteville, bachelor science in bioinformatics, magna cum laude; Tara Myers of Lincoln, bachelor of science in electrical and computer engineering,; Ashley Alston of Tontitown, bachelor of business administration, Baylor business fellows and economics, cum laude; Chance Cole of Bentonville, bachelor of business administration in marketing; Caroline Wilson of Eureka Springs, bachelor of business administration in management information systems; and Danae Chamberlain of Siloam Springs, bachelor of arts in medical humanities.

Wheaton College

Several local students performed in the conservatory of music's 2018 commencement celebration concert at Wheaton (Ill.) College. Charles Nystrom of Rogers sang bass II with the men's glee club; Alexandra Gould of Fayetteville sang soprano II with the women's chorale; and Jacey Gould of Fayetteville sang alto II with the women's chorale.
