1 BARNS

It's the Plantation Agriculture Museum's birthday and it's celebrating with watermelon and homemade ice cream. At the 29th Anniversary Party 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the museum, U.S. 165 and Arkansas 161, Scott, visitors can also tour the exhibits and displays on pre-tractor Arkansas farming. 2 BEGINNING

Also in Scott, celebrate the official beginning of summer with some prehistoric fun, 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Summer Solstice Celebration at Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park, 490 Toltec Mounds Road, Scott. Guests can try out primitive weapons, make their own crafts and take guided tours of the prehistoric mounds before watching the sunset. Admission is $4, $3 for children 6-12. 3 BONDING

The Turtle Creek Chorale, the Dallas-based, predominantly gay, men's chorus that is closing its 38th season with a "Friendship Tour" to neighboring states, will give three Little Rock concerts -- 7 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th St.; 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave.; and, with the Little Rock-based River City Men's Chorus, 7 p.m. Saturday at Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive. The program will include Peacemakers, a new commissioned song cycle, plus sacred, pop, country and show tunes, all stressing unity and "togetherness" during tumultuous social and political times. 4 (ON THE) BOULEVARD

PopUp in the Rock sets up shop(s) on Saturday in Little Rock's Stifft Station, with pop-up retail outlets (record, book, vintage clothing and home goods outlets and an art gallery), live music on an outdoor stage and food trucks along West Markham Street near the intersection with Kavanaugh Boulevard. The parking lot at West Markham and Johnson streets will host a beer garden and movie screenings. The lane structure between Booker and Cedar streets has been jiggered through July 7 "to make a more inviting environment" for pedestrians and cyclists. 5 BOOZE

Rock Town Distillery is celebrating its move and its longevity with an 8th Anniversary and Grand Opening party, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday in its new location, 1201 Main St., Little Rock. See designs that aren't just for the traditional size 0 models as Kurvy Kuties presents the Little Rock Full Figure Fashion Show, 6 p.m. Sunday at the Statehouse Convention Center, Markham and Main streets, Little Rock. 10 BABY DOE

A month of beautiful music kicks off this weekend with the start of the Opera in the Ozarks 2018 season, Friday-July 20, with Johann Strauss Jr.'s Die Fledermaus, Giacchino Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Douglas Moore's The Ballad of Baby Doe in repertory, plus special performances including the Broadway Cabaret. Most performances are at Inspiration Point west of Eureka Springs but some will be at the Arts Center of the Ozarks, 214 S.
