Man in Blytheville admits '17 slaying

A Blytheville man has pleaded guilty to killing a man he had been fighting with on social media, records show.

Travis Lamar Reed, 28, entered the plea Monday on one count of first-degree murder, according to online filings in Mississippi County Circuit Court. He was sentenced to 25 years in state prison.

Police said Reed shot Deandre Love, 28, of Blytheville on June 10, 2017, at Sunbath Carwash II at South Division Street and West McHaney Drive in Blytheville.

Love and a friend were washing Love's car that night when Reed approached and an argument began, authorities said. Love was shot multiple times and was found lying next to his car.

Love was flown to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead.

Reed and Love had been arguing on social media, including on Facebook, for several weeks, witnesses told police.
