Much of Arkansas faces a slight risk for severe weather Sunday, June 24, 2018, forecasters say.

Forecasters say another round of severe weather is possible in the Arkansas on Sunday, especially across the state’s northern and central regions.

A slight risk is currently in place for those areas, including Little Rock, according to the National Weather Service’s North Little Rock office. That means short-lived, scattered severe storms are possible.

Southern Arkansas, meanwhile, faces up to a marginal risk for storms to turn severe that afternoon and into the evening hours, meteorologists said.

The weather service said damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat. Isolated tornadoes and large hail are also possible.

On Saturday, storms at one point knocked out power to as many as 10,000 Entergy customers in Arkansas, according to officials. The severe weather also damaged homes in Saline County and downed numerous trees in central Arkansas.
