Jurassic Quest XL: Out of Extinction

HOT SPRINGS — Jurassic Quest XL: Out of Extinction will continue from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hot Springs Convention Center, 134 Convention Blvd. The event, an adventure for the whole family to explore the world of dinosaurs, with the help of 50 animatronic dinosaurs, will feature exhibits, tours, theater, science stations, crafts and more. Documentary Film Screening

ARKADELPHIA — The documentary film Resilience will be screened for the public from 5:30-7 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 107 N. Ninth St. The screening is hosted by the Percy and Donna Malone Child Safety Center and held in partnership with the Kiwanis of Clark County and Becoming a Healthy Clark County Coalition. Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope chronicles the birth of a new movement among pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities, who are using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease. HOT SPRINGS — The Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance will bring in the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre for Shakespeare at the Market, 121 Orange St., at 7 p.m. The free performance of Much Ado About Nothing has been adapted to a family-friendly one-hour performance.

Bryant Library Temporary Closing

BRYANT — The Mable Boswell Memorial Library in Bryant is closed for an interior remodel and is expected to reopen in mid-August. The Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library in Benton has added hours from 1-5 p.m.

Free Exercise Opportunities

ARKADELPHIA — The Central Arkansas Development Council’s Arkadelphia Senior Activity Center, 1305 N. 10th St., offers a free Zumba class, geared for seniors ages 60 and older, at 11 a.m. every Wednesday and a free exercise class, Moving to the Beat, at 11 a.m. Mondays. Chair volleyball is played from 10:15-11 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, and beanbag baseball is played after lunch at approximately noon Monday through Friday. Ageless Bikers Club

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Ageless Bikers Club has 10 different bike rides that are 16 to 35 miles long. The rides are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays on quiet paved country roads (one ride has up to 3 miles of gravel). No one is left behind, and the group stops often to regroup and socialize. Several rides are “out and back,” so the beginner can turn back for a shorter ride.
