The Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Judicial Council held their 120th annual joint ArkBar meeting June 13-15 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Members gathered June 13 at the convention center for a President's Welcome reception immediately followed by a Derby Party.
Greeting arriving members were Arkansas Bar Association President Tony Hilliard, Judicial Council President Judge Wiley Branton Jr. and Arkansas Bar Foundation President John Fogleman of Marion.
Guests were invited to wear seersucker and derby hats to the festivities that included horse racing-theme games for a chance to win prizes.
Refreshments included chips and salsa and choice of margaritas -- frozen or on the rocks.
During the annual meeting, members attend continuing legal education seminars, listen to local and national speakers and network with lawyers from across the state at various social events.
