Wedding vows were exchanged by Mary Catherine Pickens and Clark Wayne Smith at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in Pleasant Valley Country Club. Marshall Brown of Flagstone Church of Christ in Bentonville officiated.

Parents of the bride are Melissa Ann Tice of Sherwood and James Michael Pickens of Maumelle. Her grandparents are Della Sue and the late James Thomas Pickens and Margurette Elizabeth and James Floyd Tice, all of Little Rock.

The groom is the son of Sharon Denise and David Allen Smith of Rogers. He is the grandson of the late Martha and Clark Wayne Smith and the late Carol and Jean Drymon, all of Lowell.

The outdoor ceremony took place in a white tent on the club's terrace overlooking the golf course and lake. The aisle entrance was marked with Lucite pedestals holding arrangements of white hydrangeas, roses and blush peonies. A large arch of hydrangeas, roses and peonies was at the end of the aisle where vows were exchanged.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless beaded lace gown with a sweetheart bodice and chapel-train. She carried a bouquet of blush peonies, white hydrangeas and roses.

Abby Harwell of Nashville, Tenn., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lauren Morgan and Anna Kay Marlar, cousin of the bride, both of Little Rock; Callie Ragsdale of Tulsa; Jolinda Kiel of Kansas City, Mo.; Mallori Cline of Kennett, Mo.; Emily Hill of Maumelle; Rachel Clark of North Little Rock; Emilee Petree of Shreveport; Christy Pollreis and Shelby Smith, both of Bella Vista and sisters of the groom; and Emily Faith of Dallas. Junior bridesmaid was Kinsley Noble of Rogers, cousin of the bride. They wore one-shoulder mauve gowns with rose gold metallic lace bodices and carried bouquets of white and burgundy roses, blush peonies and white hydrangeas.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Stella Peters of Sherwood and Ty Pollreis of Bella Vista, nephew of the groom.

Jonathan Williams of Lowell was best man. Groomsmen were Robert Pickens of Long Beach, Calif.; David Hill of Maumelle; Eric Chappell and Craig Gallaway, both of Bentonville; Kyle Chappell of Lowell; Ryan Chappell of St. Paul, Minn.; Dan Adams, Richard Gardner and Russell Woods, all of Rogers; Tyler Bond of Springdale; and Christopher Boatright of Little Rock. Guests were seated by Dean Marlar and James Marlar, both of North Little Rock.

A reception inside the club followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered in white cloths held a mix of tall golden candle trees holding arrangements of wedding flowers and low floral centerpieces.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Harding University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she was a member of Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society. She is a registered nurse at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in business from Harding and a master's degree in teaching from Southern Arkansas University. He is a teacher and basketball coach at Jacksonville High School.

The couple will reside in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
