Cleopatra: Mysteries at the Museum Don Wildman heads to Egypt to look at ruler’s legacy

Don Wildman serves as host of the Travel Channel series Mysteries at the Museum. In it, Wildman digs into the world's greatest institutions to unearth extraordinary relics that reveal incredible secrets from the past. Through interviews, archival footage and recreations, the series illuminates the hidden treasures at the heart of history's most incredible triumphs, sensational crimes and bizarre encounters.

In Cleopatra: Mysteries at the Museum, airing at 8 p.m. Thursday, Wildman travels to Alexandria, Egypt, in search of the lost tomb of Cleopatra, where he hopes to discover the true legacy of one of history's most mysterious and iconic female leaders.

As a media guide to the world of museums, archives and libraries, Wildman advocates for their support, regionally and nationally. He's a member of the American Alliance of Museums and the Museum Association of New York, and participates in Washington's annual Museum Advocacy Day at the United States Congress where he has delivered testimony for continued museum funding.

The success of Mysteries at the Museum has led to several spinoffs that include a series of investigative specials under the same name that dig deeper into some of history's most memorable moments, such as the sinking of the Titanic, the Manhattan Project and the Battle of Little Bighorn. In the show Wildman has filmed at the Louvre, the Vatican, Pompeii, the White House and in the presidential archives.
