Style: Oscar predictions

OK, this is the week that the highly anticipated Red Sparrow, in which Jennifer Lawrence plays a Russian secret agent determined to “keel Moose and Squirrel” ….

No wait, every movie buff knows its Oscar weekend and that for the past, uh, 20 years or so, we’ve assembled a panel of 10 Academy Awardologists to help you win your pool. (You’re welcome.) So they’re back, with predictions and some comments and a few sniping asides. Our editor Philip Martin plays along with the experts to provide comic relief.

But there’s more. Karen Martin takes a look at the sci-fi movie (Mute) that Duncan Jones has been trying to make since before he came to prominence with 2009’s Moon. And Piers Marchant previews Columbia, Mo.’s True/False festival, which kicks off this week.
